Portrait of a Lady on Fire had its theatrical run cut short due to Covid-19 so we're delighted to be able to screen a new 4K version of this modern masterpiece for Pride Month. Set in late 18th century France, painter Marianne is commissioned to paint the wedding portrait of a sheltered but headstrong young woman. As the two women grow closer, their intimacy and attraction begins to blossom. The first female-directed film to win the Queer Palm at Cannes. In French with English subtitles.
