About Love Dumfries
Love Dumfries is all things Dumfries, all year round. We offer free listings for businesses, charities and community groups, alongside what's on, venue hire, what's open right now, public transport and the wildlife on your doorstep.
Everything on the site is about Dumfries itself: the events are ones you can walk to, the organisations are the ones trading and meeting here, and the listings are kept up to date by the people who run them.
For businesses and groups
A listing is free and takes a few minutes. Once it's yours you can add events, opening hours, photos and rooms for hire, and they appear across the site, in search and to the AI assistants that read our public what's-on server.
About DPAG
Dumfries Partnership Action Group (DPAG) is a registered charity set up to help fulfil the aims of Dynamically Different Dumfries and the Local Place Plan. Love Dumfries is operated by DPAG as part of that work.
The site was built by Gilbert West as a pro bono project with ♥ doonhame.
What's new
Love Dumfries is currently at version 3.2. The most recent changes, newest first:
September 2026 — Version 3.2
A new cinema listings page gathers every forthcoming film screening in Dumfries, whoever is showing it.
The footer now links straight to what's on today, tomorrow, this week, this weekend, next week and next weekend, and there is an RSS feed of everything happening in the next fortnight for your feed reader.
The search page can now switch between organisations and events. The date filters (today, tomorrow, this week, this weekend, next week) work on every event category page, not just the main what's-on list.
On mobile, the organisation login and Nature now sit in the bottom bar, and signing up an organisation is clearer and more prominent.
A new picks article on e-bikes, led by the WWCT video.
Every event category now has its own icon and share image, so links to category pages look right on social media. The sports-spectating page has a proper introduction and all Curling, Football, Ice Hockey and Rugby home fixture appears for the main teams, (more to follow)
