What's New

September 2026 — Version 3.3

Repeating events now work like a calendar. Tick "Repeats" on the ordinary event form, choose the days (several weekdays, every other week, the first Tuesday of the month, the 15th of every month) and how long it runs, and every date is created for you. Edit the template and every future date follows; edit one date on its own and it keeps your change; extend the run whenever you like. The old four-step wizard is gone.

Long-running events such as exhibitions can now say which days they are closed, so they stop appearing under Today on a Sunday they don't open.

September 2026 — Version 3.2

Events now includes category filters as well as the usual time filters.

A new cinema listings page gathers every forthcoming film screening in Dumfries, whoever is showing it.

Redesigned footer that links straight to what's on today, tomorrow, this week, this weekend, next week and next weekend.

New RSS feed of everything happening in the next fortnight for your feed reader.

The search page can now switch between organisations and events. The date filters (today, tomorrow, this week, this weekend, next week) work on every event category page, not just the main what's-on list.

On mobile, the organisation login and Nature On Your Doorstep now sit in the bottom bar.

A new picks article on e-bikes, led by the WWCT video.

August 2026

Every event category now has its own icon and share image, so links to category pages look right on social media.

New dedicated fixtures page for home games of the main teams in Curling, Football, Ice Hockey and Rugby

Events, organisations, categories and search results can all be viewed as a grid of cards or a compact list, and the site remembers which you prefer. Organisation listings now show the organisation's logo, or its category icon where there isn't one, and every category has an icon.
