Dumfries Town Board
Dumfries Town Board (DTB) is a strategic community-led initiative focused on the economic regeneration, infrastructure development, and long-term sustainability of Dumfries. The board brings together business leaders, local authorities, and other local organisations to drive forward projects that bring the town centre and surrounding areas back to life.
DTB is committed to collaboration, innovation, and investment. It will work closely with local businesses, property owners, and government bodies to make the most of funding and development opportunities for the benefit of the community. A core function of the board is managing and overseeing the £20 million secured through the UK Government's Levelling Up Fund. The board will make sure this money is spent well on projects that improve transport and connectivity, safety and security, and the high street.
Kenny Bowie chairs the board. It operates with a strong focus on community engagement and economic resilience, and aims to create a thriving, modern, and sustainable Dumfries. Dumfries Town Board will prioritise local employment, infrastructure improvements, and business growth for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
