Join us for four days of workshops, games, music, performance, and creative experiments.** We’re starting our takeover off with something nice and casual. Come and drop in to see what we’ve got planned for the week and get to know the spacers. We’ll also be running a learn to repair session. If you’ve got a piece of clothing or a textile piece that needs a bit of repair, bring it in and spacer Lili will be able to help give you some tips and an introduction to techniques equipment to get you started. Whether you are an experienced repairer or it’s your first time, join in, have a chat about repair culture, and sustainability whilst prolonging the life of your favourite piece. **Print has long been at the heart of social movements, giving communities the tools to share stories, amplify voices and inspire change** To celebrate Dumfries Pride 2026, join us for three weekly sessions at the Print House as we uncover the art of risograph printing. Together we’ll create everything from activist posters and queer zines to bold graphic prints, learning the riso process from first ideas to finished editions. Whether you’re interested in creative activism, self-expression or simply trying something new, come and print with us. We encourage everyone to attend all three weeks if they can, as each session will dive a little deeper into the Riso process, giving you the fullest experience. That said, if you can’t make all three weeks, no worries at all, you’re still very welcome to join us! Pride & Print is three weeks of making, experimenting and getting a little obsessed with Riso, created with D&G’s LGBTQ+ community in mind. Queer, questioning, ally or simply coming along with a pal – you’re welcome. What is risograph printing? Risograph (or ‘riso’) is an unpredictable print process that sits somewhere between screen printing and photocopying. It uses bright soy-based inks and a stencil-based method to produce bold, textured, layered prints with a beautifully handmade feel. Each colour is printed one or two layers at a time – meaning happy accidents, weird overlaps, and slight misregistrations are all part of the charm. It’s fast, affordable, eco-conscious, and ideal for posters, zines, flyers, art prints, comics, and more. Riso is loved for its vibrant colours that can’t be replicated through digital means, low-fi textures, and its power to turn the ordinary into something full of life and energy. **Accessibility Information** The Print House is step-free and located on a single level, with an accessible toilet available on site. The space is compact, so we recommend getting in touch in advance if you’d like to plan your visit. We’re happy to provide photos or video of the space to help you get a sense of the layout before arriving. **A bread club with a twist** Share recipes, swap techniques, and enjoy hands-on bread making in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned baker, everyone is welcome. All experience levels are welcome and encouraged. Bring your friends and get ready for a creative and expressive evening! This session will encourage people to explore queer narratives and lived stories through a potentially new format. There will be laptops provided that can be used between participants for the session. **DUMFRIES PRIDE FRINGE EVENT – Friday 25th of September @ The Stove Cafe.** **LGBTQ+ portraits of Dumfries. 👑💕** Come chat with illustrator Emily Tough, while she draws your portrait. Using pencil and gouache, these portraits will take 5 to 10 minutes to draw. Artwork’s are for participants to keep. £5 per portrait. There will be conversation prompts on the table. To make people feel more comfortable and a sweet way for us to get to know one another. People can add their own conversation prompts for others to look at. Some are aligned to help us explore our queer-dom, others will be less focused. **The colour of PRIDE – past and present D&G** The first/second of two drop-in workshops exploring Pride through natural colour making and using them to add to a collective art/written piece centred around the following questions: How important is it to have pride? What does pride means to you and what queer thing do you love about Dumfries and D&G? The natural inks, some of which will be made by participants are all eco friendly and sourced from local plants around D&G. **Naeve & Holly’s Craft Stall** We are both young emerging artists and best friends in the Dumfries & Galloway and recent graduates of both the college and university looking to make connections in the community and share the work we love to make (usually insects and natural wildlife!)
